The purpose of this document is to define the requirements for the INSURACCESS system and the different login levels that will be used within the INSURACCESS system. This document is complementary to the PDF sent to AHT previously describing the screens and directions. The INSURACCESS system is a clean, efficient, user-friendly interface for insurance purchasers to interact with their insurance intermediaries, agents and brokers. With the increasing pressure on companies to become more accessible to their clients via the internet, many firms are looking for cost-effective ways to supply clients with the type of online login access they have come to expect from their service providers. The target audience for the INSURACCESS system is small to mid-size insurance agencies and brokerages, which have the desire, but often not the resources, to implement full-scale client interface systems. The INSURACCESS system will feature 24/7 access to all of the essential information a client needs as well as instant messaging and message board features for communications with the service team. Since the heavy users of the system will be insurance agents and brokers and their clients, who may not be technologically savvy, we must seek to make the system as intuitive and easy to use as possible.
The INSURACCESS system must be able to perform the following functions:
Versioning management for all documents uploaded to the system.
New message board comments must be forwarded to all team members’ email addresses via email notifications.
All emails notifications received via the message board must contain the comment itself and must be answerable from within the body of the email. The recipient of the email notification must be able to respond to any posted comment by “Replying” to the email. Moreover, this “Reply” must be added to the message board feed once sent and therefore update the message board without the user having to go to the website itself.
Ability to view usage for each Admin (insurance intermediary) as well as composite statistics.
Permissions adjustments based on Login Level.
The User portal must allow the user to move the widgets (Message board, the Team members, All Policies…) around to his/her liking. It will personalize the presentation of the page for each user.
All screens should be W3C compliant to ensure browser compatibility across the board.
