The Challenges
Unfortunately, Ivory & Deene encountered some challenges when developing and managing the e-commerce website. Customers could not currently select the size (Regular, Large, XLarge) and foam filling options (None - Cover Only, Partial foam filling, 100% foam filling) for their Bean Bags through the website. It was also important to calculate the foam weight for each bean bag that was chosen. Another important innovation was the ability to connect items, in which individual color variations were handled as independent products that could be merged to allow customers to select their preferred color.
The Solutions
AHT Tech knew that the lack of functional websites makes them decrease the customer experience. So, we created a custom technique that use the various product parameters to calculate the foam volume of each choice appropriately. Furthermore, we employed custom code meta-fields to connect similar goods, making the selection and customization process easier.
To improve transparency and clarity, we deployed custom code to prominently display the provided customer information (size, foam filling, foam volume) on the Cart page. Furthermore, we diligently changed the email design to include entire purchase data that the client and employees in charge of size, foam billing, and foam volume could easily understand.
